How to instruct us - Compromise Agreements

When the terms on which you are leaving your employment are agreed, your employer may ask you to sign a "Compromise Agreement" confirming that you will not take legal action, in return for a payment. Your employer will generally pay for you to take independent legal advice and will normally agree to pay Palmer Wade between £250.00 and £500.00 plus VAT towards your legal costs in negotiating the agreement. If our costs are in excess of the agreed contribution, then you are liable for the balance.
